FPP Enable

(Radio Wide, Features)

HGDefinitionMob%26Port.jpg

Enables Front Panel Programming (FPP) on a radio-wide basis. WFForward.png Once enabled, FPP may then be enabled or disabled on the per zone basis from the Zone Channel Assignment FPP Enable field. WFForward.png FPP is selected by the radio-user with the DotRed.png Front Panel Programming menu-selection. FPP is a Conventional communications feature only.

When the 12.5 kHz FCC Narrowbanding Mandate applies for the codeplug, programming of exception frequencies must be carried out using the CPS, and not the FPP feature.

HGImportantNote.jpg

The same Conventional Personality can be assigned to multiple channels (from the Channels Page), and those channels may be in FPP-enabled zones or non-FPP zones. Therefore, be aware that if a Personality is changed via FPP, those changes will affect all channels that reference that Personality, in both FPP-enabled zones and non-FPP zones.

The radio-user is able to configure the Tx Power Level via an FPP channel. Note that the DotRed.png Tx Low Power button-press, the DotRed.png Tx Low Power switch-toggle and the DotRed.png Power menu-selection, when radio-user selected, do not take precedence over this FPP-enabled channel setting.
